Having no time is a myth

Right when I started my own blog I committed to writing one blogpost a week. In the beginning I did pursue this goal, but after a few weeks I slipped once and did not make the effort of writing one blogpost every week. For the last few weeks I did not write any articles, because I told myself I did not have the time to write, because I had to learn for my exams. This was simply not true, because I could defnitly have carved out one or two hours per week to write at least a short article every week. Many people make the excuse of not having the time to pursue a specific hobby. They tell themselves that they have to work all week, so it is not possible for them to do anything else besides working. This whole way of thinking is a myth, because everybody has 168 hours per week and even if you subtract 8 hours of sleep everday and your daily working hours there is still a lot of time left to start a new hobby that you always wanted to do or schedule in an evening with friends every week. So the problem is not that we don't have the time to do those things it is the lack of prioritization. Way to often we are wasting our time by spending hours scrolling through social media without even realising it, but those minutes and hours add up. So next time you tell somebody you dont have the time for him, think about the hours you wasted and then rethink your answer. Instead make time for this friend or simply tell him, that he is non of your priorities. Time is a precious resource and you should use it wisely. If you still want to tell me, that you do not have time, consider doing an exercise for one week. Write down everything you did in one week and how many minutes you spend on each activity and I will guarantee you, you are able to save some of your time and invest it in activities you actually wanted to do, but you thought you did not have the time for.
